Dr. Bhat is the Life member of Indian Academy of Paediatrics and Karnataka state chapter of National Neonatology Forum. He received award of Indian Academy of Paediatrics Trainee Fellowship in Neonatology. He is also a reviewer for more than forty indexed journals including Indian Pediatrics, Indexed journal of Indian Academy of Paediatrics, Pediatrics- indexed journal of AAP, Saudi Medical Journal and BMC case reports. He has published more than fifty peer-reviewed scientific articles, and made more than twenty presentations at national and international congresses.
