Dr. Zhang graduated with PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 1994, followed by a post-doc in industrial biotechnology and a Senior Research Officer at Baker Heart and Diabetic Research Institute, Melbourne during 2002-2007 with major research in membrane transporter, metabolism and analytical method development. He has also worked as a medical scientist, R&D and QC manager in hospital/diagnostic, food and pharmaceutical industries. He received Nancy Dale Scholarship awarded by Australasian Association of Clinical Biochemists in 2000 for his contributions to clinical biochemistry. Dr. Zhang has published 31 peer-reviewed scientific articles in pharmacology, biochemistry, clinical chemistry, analytical chemistry, cell and molecular biology and had been invited to present research outcomes at national/international conferences. He is current member of the several journal reviewer boards including JSM Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Minerva Cardioangiologica and Journal of Chromatography B.
