Reasonable charges mean good value for money.
At Medjaden, a manuscript is usually modified by one or two managing editors and proofread by an American company or proofreading editor to ensure its quality. Throughout the whole process of editing, our editors (especially senior editors living abroad) need to put in more time and effort than they do in their routine jobs. However, we charge only one-half or even one-third of the fees of foreign competitors. Frankly, profit is not our primary concern.
1) To ensure that each manuscript is as flawless as possible before submission, we allow for multiple rounds of interactive modifications between authors and editors/proofreaders. Each author will see substantial academic and linguistic improvements in their manuscript by the final language proofreading.
2) We promise a one-time charge for continuous services (except for one-time services) until the manuscript is published. We offer free advice and help for all eligible authors until their article is published. Our mantra is "We will never give up if you don't!"
3) Our editors have strong academic backgrounds, as well as language skills. Most of them are professors or associate professors based in the United States, Britain, Canada, or Australia, and have published dozens or even more than 100 articles in SCI journals. These editors care little about remuneration (usually what they earn from editing an article is equivalent to only 1 or 2 hours’ wage of their full-time work). They really want to contribute their share, to let the world know of China’s research.
4) We offer expert language proofreading for all manuscripts we have written, rewritten, or edited.
5) We offer free proofreading and editing services for cover letters, reply letters to journal editors, and rebuttal letters to reviewers (not more than 1000 words).
