Dr. Zafar is an associate professor (Dental Biomaterials) in College of Dentistry, Taibah University, Al Madinah Al Munawara, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Zafar obtained the master’s degree from Queen Mary University of London, UK (Distinction level research project; 2007) and Ph.D from Nottingham Trent University, UK (2011). He holds fellowship of International College of Dentists, USA (FICD) and Academy of Dentistry international, USA (FADI).

Dr. Zafar is a research led academician having considerable exposure of teaching, research and clinics management and the successful implementation of operating procedures in academic and clinic activities. Dr. Zafar has contributed substantially (more than 110 peer reviewed publications in impact factor journals since 2013) in the fields of dental materials, tissue engineering, clinical dentistry and associated subjects. He has published a number of book chapters and a couple of books. Dr. Zafar is also the editorial board member for journals such as Fluoride and European Dental Journal. He has peer reviewed more than 210 papers for more than 75 reputed indexed journals. Meanwhile, Dr. Zafar has instructed lots of authors with his excellent academic editing and writing skills, helping them to publish their work in international journals.
